External vs Internal CS2 Cheats: What's the Difference?

Closed thread Closed by archive

I keep seeing the words external and internal when looking at CS2 cheats.

I understand they're different types of software, but I don't really understand what separates them.

Is it mainly about how the software interacts with the game?

Also, is one automatically better than the other, or does it depend on the product?

Trying to understand the terminology before comparing anything.

At a high level, yes, it's about how the software interacts with the game.

External and internal describe different software architectures.

So external doesn't automatically mean safer?

Correct. You can't judge overall quality or risk from that label alone.

People online act like one category wins every argument. A label doesn't tell you everything about the actual product.

Exactly why I asked. Some product pages use these terms without explaining anything.
